Creatif Challenge No. 9 - Journey Onward

Many people have a natural ability of making their ideas gell by using attributes like color & cohesiveness.  Your level of creativity is unique.  Our perspectives, our influences, our education, our experience, our tastes, our emotions, our values, our thoughts, our dreams, our visions, our priorities, our lives, are so varied!  Your *own unique style* is created by many, many influences.

COLOR + COHESIVENESS = CLARITY

COHESIVENESS - Transferring the *White Horses* vibe to your layout by repeating similarities. Such as the layout, *Journey Onward's*, natural outdoor photo, the color scheme with the white t-shirt and papers, the blue sky and blue accents in the paper.  The title of the layout echos the running horses. It all kinda ties together providing cohesiveness ... From Inspiration to Page.

CLARITY - Use similar styled elements that blend together with a photo, theme and phrase that provide a clear message.

{Photoshop tips}

• To get the rounded corners, open a new 12x12 inch transparent document. Select desired foreground color you want.  Use the rectangular marquis tool and it will automatically fill your layer that color, when you click and drag. 
• The rectangular marquis tool was also used for the two small papers {navy and circle}.  Alt click hovering between the lines to clip the paper to the rectangle shape.
• Using "create new fill or adjustment layer" circle at bottom of the layers palette, select pattern.  For this layout a grid shape pattern was used and clipped the the white background paper to create a bit of interest.
• Distress to your de*Light!
• To create a text box, click down on "T" and create a box. Begin typing.  This layout uses a narrow-styled box with a clean, simple font called Latha @ 12 pts.
• Journey Onward - Jane Austen font @ 72 pts.
• MASON - Inked God @ 50 pts.
• Sunlight - JaneAusten @ 46 pts.

The natural backdrop with architectural elements and an adjustment layer in Photoshop made these photos  fantastic!  And it is super easy.

• Click on top layer
• Select Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer
• Select Levels
• Slide bar upwards to desired effect
